Lebanon
Description
The Paulownia is one of the fastest-growing trees on earth — producing 5 kg of oxygen per day, absorbing up to 20 kg of CO₂ daily, and actively purifying the soil. Its flowers provide nectar for honey bees, the leaves are nutrient-rich animal feed or compost (20% protein), and the timber is fire-resistant (ignition point 375°C), insect-resistant, water-resistant, and UV-stable — making it among the most valuable commercial woods available. Paulownia grows at any altitude from sea level to 1,800 m across Lebanon, matures in 5–7 years, and represents a safe, high-return green investment.
